FAQs

Laser Hair Removal

At soul&beautyMEDx we use revolutionary Lumenis Splendor X™ laser treatment. Two different wavelengths target more hair than traditional lasers. Very light hair, such as red, blonde, or gray, will not respond well. Contact us to find out if you’re a candidate for this groundbreaking technology.
Because hair follicles can only be treated in the active growth phase, multiple sessions are necessary to treat all the unwanted hair. The number of sessions required to fully reduce hair growth depends on the tone of your skin and hair. We usually recommend a minimum of 6 -10 treatments.
Today’s modern laser hair removal systems come equipped with safety and comfort technology designed to minimize patient risk. Because the Lumenis Splendor X™ uses two wavelengths, each one can be less intense, causing less discomfort. The laser’s technology directs cool air at the skin being treated to ease any unpleasant sensations further.
Follow your provider’s instructions for the amount of sun exposure you have both before and after your laser hair removal sessions. A sunburn may affect how the laser interacts with your skin, and sun exposure after laser treatment may raise the risk of complications.

Dermal Fillers

Patients may experience some injection site tenderness, bruising, or redness following dermal filler injections, but these resolve on their own within a few days.

The number of syringes required to help you reach your aesthetic goals depends on the area you’re having treated and how dramatic you wish your outcome to be.

During your comprehensive consultation, you’ll discuss your aesthetic goals in depth with your soul&beautyMEDx provider to understand exactly what treatment can do for you. Based on this, plus a thorough examination of your features, we’ll recommend the best dermal filler for each treatment area based on the consistency, density, and other factors that make up the gel.

This technology is improving all the time, though the answer does vary depending on the chosen filler and the treatment area. The average duration of effect is 6-12 months.

BOTOX®

BOTOX®, derived from botulinum toxin Type A, was approved by the FDA in 2002 for cosmetic use. It has since become one of the most studied medications in modern medicine. At soul&beautyMEDx, BOTOX® is administered in micro-doses through tiny needles by highly-trained injection specialists who understand facial anatomy to make treatment safe and highly effective.

BOTOX® is not recommended for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. We urge patients to wait to have BOTOX® treatment until after birth occurs and/or breastfeeding is concluded.

That depends on your specific facial anatomy and the area you’re having treated. Because men’s muscles tend to be larger than women’s, men often need more units per treatment area.

There may be minor side effects, such as tenderness or bruising at the injection site, headache, fever, or chills. These typically subside on their own within a few days.

This varies by geographic location, provider, and the number of units required to achieve your aesthetic goals. We proudly offer the BOTOX® Club for discounts and long-term savings.

The effects of BOTOX® last 3 months before the patient must return for additional treatment. Continued treatment will prolong the medication’s effects.
